Help Me Keep Moving Towards My Future
Anyone that has met me in person will know how strong willed I can be, and that I absolutely know my own mind!
I have cerebral palsy and epilepsy, which makes getting around safely and independently difficult.
Like any other child my age, I dream of exploring, playing with my friends, enjoying family adventures and becoming more independent.
Well, I've set Mummy a new challenge. I would REALLY love a Trekinetic GTE Mk 3 before my next school residential.
I nattered and nattered for a proper trial after a quick sit in one at the Kidz to Adultz exhibition, and now I know what a difference an electric wheelchair would make to the bigger days.
The wheelchair I would love is the Trekinetic GTE Mk 3. It's an all-terrain electric wheelchair that would allow me to access places that my current chair simply can't, whether that's woodland walks, the beach, parks, family days out or just keeping up with my friends.
Only the basic minimum, not enough for the chair I need.
Built for my needs today, and to grow with me.
To make this dream a reality.
This isn't about having a luxury wheelchair. It's about giving me the freedom to be a child.
With the Trekinetic GTE Mk 3 I would have:
- Greater independence (I can run off, I tried it on my trial 😂)
- More opportunities to play with friends (no parents or carers to nosey on gossip with my friends)
- Better access to the outdoors
- Improved comfort and support (ask any OT about postural support, you'll need a cuppa for that conversation)
- The confidence to explore the world around me
- A chair that will grow with me and support me for years to come
